Introducing Boulder Ladder 2025 at Thebarton: How it works.
We’re excited to announce the Beyond Boulder Ladder at Thebarton, kicking off a four-week Boulder Ladder competition! Each week you’ll have the chance to log your climbs from the latest reset using the Beyond App. Points earned will contribute to your ranking on the Boulder Ladder leaderboard, with a fresh set of climbs introduced every week. Once a new set is ready, the previous week’s climbs will close for points, and the new set will open for scoring.
How It Works
- Weekly Resets: A new set of climbs will be available each week at Thebarton.
- Logging Climbs: Use the Beyond App to log your ascents during the week they’re set. Points are awarded based on your performance, with a flash (first-try ascent) earning the highest points. Points decrease with each additional attempt.
- Four-Week Competition: After four weeks, we’ll tally the scores and crown the top 6 climbers in both Female Open A and B categories, as well as Male Open A and B categories to go into the Finals on the 7th of April at Thebarton!
- Leaderboard Note: The leaderboard in the Beyond App is specific to Thebarton. If you have “all gyms” selected, it will display total points collected across all Beyond locations, not the accurate Thebarton standings. Be sure to filter for Thebarton-only results.
Key Dates & Details
- Week 1 Adjustment: The first week of the Boulder Ladder will run for 6 days instead of 7, as March 10th is a public holiday.
- Prizes: Exciting prizes await the top 3 finishers in both Male and Female categories for Open A and Open B Finals

- Open A: Advanced climbers tackling White, Black and Yellow coloured tags.
- Open B: Intermediate climbers conquering up to White coloured tags.
- X: Social group climbers looking to join the fun.
