Get ready for the ultimate climbing challenge at Beyond Bouldering Keswick! This exciting Olympic-style competition is open to everyone, with climbs tailored for higher-level competitors. With 40 spots available, you’ll have the chance to showcase your skills and compete for fantastic merchandise prizes. It’s the perfect opportunity to step out of your comfort zone in a friendly, relaxed environment, making it an ideal practice run for the state titles this September. Plus, all entry fees ($10.00) will be donated to Puddle Jumpers, supporting a great cause while you climb.
Please note, Keswick will be closed to the public until 3pm on both competition days for setting, and competition boulders will only be accessible after the Semi Finals and Finals.
SEMI FINALS
Thursday 15th August, 6:30pm.
40 competitors (male + female).
Format:
5 on / 5 off.
Olympic scoring:
5 points for Zone 1.
10 points for Zone 2.
25 points for a top.
-0.1 points for every unsuccessful attempt.
Top 6 male and top 6 female athletes will advance to the Finals.
FINALS
Friday 16th August, 6:30pm.
Top 6 male and top 6 female atheletes.
Format:
World Cup-style
3 boulders for each category.
4 mins per boulder.
Olympic scoring:
5 points for Zone 1.
10 points for Zone 2.
25 points for a top.
-0.1 points for every unsuccessful attempt
